How does an organisation become more agile? And why would it?
How does an organisation become more agile? And why would it?
The professional body for business agility has defined the framework for business agility to help organisations investigate that question. To see how agile they are, to investigate where to become more agile., Not for the sake of becoming more agile, but for the sake of delivering more value to customers, staff and the organisational ecosystem in which the reside. The framework is a set of lenses, not an implementable model.
The FBA has been used in the last 2 years to assess many organisations in their business agility, for the agile business awards. Organisations worldwide, from high tech and startup to arrived businesses with worldwide well known brands, from hospitals to water companies to FMCG to banks, have been measured using the framework. What they have learned, what we have learned, is gathered in an extensive insights report which is freely available.

In this talk, we will discuss:
-
Why business agility is NOT about implementing a (any) framework, nor is it about software.
-
The learnings from over 30 organisations that have participated in the awards
-
The framework for business agility
-
How you can use the learnings and the insights for your own work, for your own organisation, for your clients
One of the possible futures: the sustainable agile organisation. Bridging necessity and competence.
